Role Summary/Purpose


The Logging Engineer is responsible for safely applying appropriate procedures for the operation of wireline tools, and techniques to ensure quality and cost-effective service to each customer. This position entails working within the cased-hole intervention discipline and performing services related to cased-hole logging.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare for well-site operations; ensure adherence to all safety regulations

  • Conduct well-site operations to the satisfaction of the customer at the well site

  • Maintain knowledge of the latest technological changes and operating procedures pertaining to Company equipment, tools, and practices to ensure maximum operating efficiency

  • Maintain customer relations by establishing a positive image and confidence in the quality of services and ensuring the confidentiality of all logging operations

  • Maintain direct contact with customer’s representatives throughout the logging or operation; interpret common services in the assigned service area for customers

  • Prepare, draft, and complete all logs for printing on location or immediately upon return to the office from the job site, depending on company and customer requirements

  • Promptly and accurately submits all required reports and data

  • Maintain assigned equipment and facilities in a neat, workable condition and always conducts self in an exemplary manner

  • Support Logging Services objectives; participate in company and client activities


Qualifications / Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline

  • 2+ years of experience with downhole logging equipment in the oil and gas industry is preferred.

  • Ability to pass offshore/onshore medical

  • Willingness and ability to travel

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Residing in Aberdeen, UK

  • Hold a driving license and have experience driving in Europe, preferred

  • Legal right to work in Europe / Norway

  • Able to travel to African countries
